Tay Tay

Tay Tay is happy, loves her friends, and has a lot of the things that she wants in her life. One of those things is good health. Although she was diagnosed with high blood pressure, she has been able to manage and control it, so she does not have that to worry about for now.

Tay Tay loves the “Open Hands Medical Clinic” that is located just down the street from “Lucie’s Place”. She stays in good health by walking everywhere – including to the health clinic. She takes very good care of herself and is proud of her good health. Right now, she is mainly worried about losing her Medicaid benefits. She is not sure if she will lose her Medicaid during the upcoming *unwinding of the public health emergency. She remembers having Medicaid long before Covid-19 made everybody sick – so she’s hoping she will be okay, and life will just keep going on as before.

* Arkansas will have 6 months from the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency to make sure Medicaid clients are still eligible for coverage. It is anticipated that approximately 300,000 Arkansans will lose Medicaid coverage with the unwinding of the public health emergency. The unwinding is estimated to begin in the early months of 2023.
