“HAVING MEDICAID HAS MADE IT AWESOME!” 

Geneva is a single mom and has received Medicaid for eight years.  She currently has 1“Arkansas Total Care” as her Medicaid Insurance.  Geneva suffered a traumatic experience as a child resulting in her needing mental health therapy.  Medicaid in her words, “Has made it awesome!”  Medicaid pays for her therapy and medications needed for alleviating mental stress.  Without her current therapy session, Geneva states that she probably would not be alive.  Therapy sessions have prevented her from possibly committing suicide. Geneva states that her children are also on Medicaid.  As a single mom this takes away the added stress of having to obtain insurance for her children that she could not afford.  Geneva states, “Knowing that my kiddos are covered gives me peace even if there are loopholes, they are mostly covered.”
