Jade is very happy that she has Medicaid to help her with medical costs when she falls ill. She is careful to pay attention to both her body and her mind as she cares for her health. She understands how they work together to support her good health.

Although she really likes her doctors, Jade feels it is difficult to get appointments when she needs them. She doesn’t like going to the doctor’s; but she is pleased once she is in the doctor’s office. She doesn’t really have to go that often because she takes good care of herself. Despite enjoying good health and appreciating the help she gets from Medicaid, Jade struggles with a genetic condition that has affected her eyesight for her entire life. She was hoping Medicaid could help her, but was told she would need to apply for 1a specialized vision care plan. She’s not sure what she needs to do to get access to that care – but she’s working on it. Once she gets help with her vision, she’ll be all set!
