Kendra is the mother of eight children. She has five minor children at home and three adult children who do not live in the home. Kendra has scoliosis and hypertension. She goes to the doctor as needed.  As a mother of eight children, she knows the importance of having health insurance. Her five minor children receive AR Kids. Thankfully, they have no serious illnesses and only see the doctor for well-child visits. 

For six months she had to pay for two of her children’s doctor’s visits while their Medicaid was pending.  Finally, the two were approved for Medicaid. If any type of serious illness had occurred during this time, Kendra would not have been financially able to pay.
