When and where should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive at the Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center before 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
What’s the dress code?
There is no dress code, casual or business casual is fine.
What do I do when I arrive?
Come to the registration area outside the main training room. You will receive a packet containing conference materials, CLE forms and evaluations, and your name tag, which will have your drink and breakfast tickets in the back.
How do I get my room key?
Do not go to the front desk for your room assignment unless you are arriving on Tuesday. Room assignments and keys will be handed out at the conference registration desk by Legal Aid and CALS staff as soon as they are all available. This will likely be at the first or possibly the second break between sessions.
Does the hotel need my credit card?
You will not have to provide a credit card for incidentals, but any incidentals billed to your room will be your responsibility.
Can I get work done during the sessions?
You are expected to be present and engaged. Please be respectful and keep your cell phone usage during presentations to a minimum. Please don't bring things to work on during the sessions, and plan to attend all the lunch session on Thursday and drop by the reception on Wednesday evening.
Are there any interactive sessions?
Yes, you may wish to bring your laptop to the Excel Training.
How can I make an appointment with the Mutual of America rep to discuss retirement options?
A representative from Mutual of America will be available throughout the conference for individual consultations about your retirement plans. You will be able to sign up for time slots to visit with the representative or just drop in when he is free.
Which meals are provided, and which meals are not?
A buffet breakfast will be available each morning starting at 7 at Myrtie Mae’s Cafe, located at the hotel. You will be given tickets for up to $15 for breakfast on Thursday and Friday morning, gratuity not included (please remember your per diem includes $5 for incidentals). If you exceed that amount, you will pay the difference.
A buffet lunch will be provided on Thursday. Please grab your food and take a seat as we will have an awards ceremony during the second part of the lunch hour. If you note on your registration that you are a vegetarian, special accommodation is being made for you.
Medium hors d'oeuvres will be available at our reception on Wednesday in the pool area, which starts 30 minutes after the last session is completed. Everyone will receive two complimentary drink tickets that can be used for beer, wine, or soda. After that, you may avail yourself of the cash bar.
Other meals are on your own, including Lunch and Dinner Wednesday, Dinner Thursday, and Lunch Friday, and Wednesday morning breakfast for those who arrived on Tuesday. Per diem will be per your programs policy.
Will there be any entertainment or prizes?
There will be games at the reception on Wednesday evening, including Bingo, with a treasure trove of priceless gifts for lucky winners.
Caren Thompson will lead yoga on Friday morning at 7:45 a.m. at a location yet to be determined.
Everyone is released at 4:30 pm on Thursday with no obligations so we can enjoy Eureka Springs with our friends and colleagues. The music and dining scene is diverse and plentiful, and the wonders of Branson, Missouri or Fayetteville/Rogers/Bentonville are only a short hours drive away.
