Amber Jackson, LCSW
My approach to therapy is creative and interactive, co-creating space and relationship that centers your desired goals of care and healing. I provide a non judgmental space for people to explore and process life experiences while also providing a variety of interventions to facilitate emotional insight, wisdom and change.
My therapeutic practices include attachment-based Psychodynamics, Object Relations, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Jungian and depth psychology, feminist therapy, somatic and mindfulness techniques and integration of spiritual growth. My specialties include working with individuals on the autism spectrum, grief and loss/complex grief, spiritual and religious trauma and those healing from purity culture. I also facilitate healing from adverse experiences of physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and relational abuse.
While co-creating authentic self-concepts that allow people to heal, growww and thrive, I provide tools and strategies for dealing with the pain and discomfort that comes with deconstructing cognitive beliefs surrounding traumatic stress/narratives. Relief from symptoms and clarity of self are often benefits acquired from committed participation in therapy and I hope to provide the therapeutic space to honor this process.
As a social justice oriented professional, I believe that all people with all abilities in all bodies deserve access to identity affirming, culturally responsive care. I support and center experiences of black, indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), the LGBTQIA+ community, and those with disabilities and Neurodivergent communities.
